Thanksgiving Eve – A Great Time for Promoting Your Beer Tubes

The idea for Beer Tubes was hatched in a bowling alley over 7 years ago. And as we’ve developed the beer tower concept over the years, we’ve never strayed far from our initial desire to enhance the social nature of enjoying a cold beer with friends. A 100-oz. plus tube of beer is perfect for friends watching a game on TV, hanging out before or after sporting events, or just sitting around reminiscing about the old days. And no “holiday” brings more friends together to reconnect over a cold beer than “Thanksgiving Eve.” It is estimated that on the night before Thanksgiving, approximately 80 million Americans over the age of 21 get together with friends. That’s a lot of talking turkey!

With many people returning home for the weekend, it’s easy to see why the Thanksgiving holiday weekend is a popular time for friends and family to get together. And the weekend also offers a full schedule of football games–providing an opportunity to get out of the house for a few hours to meet at a local bar/restaurant to kick off the holidays. As many of our bar/restaurant customers have figured out, Beer Tubes are a great way to serve large groups of guests. With their large capacity, these beer towers help increase staff efficiency, increase length of stay, and add a “wow factor” that helps drive draft beer sales. As our customers gear up for the holiday season, we want to remind you about our serving guidelines that will help assure that your guests will enjoy their beverages responsibly.

And don’t forget about the power of social media that you can use to your advantage by customizing your Beer Tubes. Most of those 80 million have cell phones and will be taking lots of pictures at your establishment, especially as they gather around their Beer Tube. (Note: for additional information on social media and Beer Tubes, please see our recent blog post on the subject.)

By the way, if you’re looking for a cool idea to offer your guests on Thanksgiving Eve, check out this recipe from idrink.com for a Turkey Trot ( http://www.idrink.com/v.html?id=7984). Just a fill a Beer Tube with Turkey Trot and keep it behind the bar as a shot special served directly from the tube. Advertise it as your nightly special and your guests will gobble it up.

We at Beer Tubes hope you are able to enjoy some time with family and friends over Thanksgiving and as always we encourage you to enjoy (and serve) your Beer Tubes responsibly. And don’t forget…as soon as Turkey Day is past us, it’s time to think about holiday gifts. And for beer drinker gift ideas, you can’t beat a Beer Tube!

Cheers!
